Perhaps we shall now witness another era of stunning political posters.

  1. Powerful posters, and I think you're right, Olga, we will see more of political art.

I've just been to see an exhibition on Art and Resistance in Athens with lots of powerful painting and sculpture - it's something that's needed in these times we live in.

    1. Of course posters are from my own era - I look forward to seeing what enterprising folks can conjure on the ephemeral yet powerful media now.

  2. Thanks very much indeed for introducing me to this artist who was previously unknown to me. I love text and political art and his work is as relevant now as it was then. I spent a lot of time following him up.

    1. I'm glad that you enjoyed encountering Piech's art. I too very much appreciate combinations of text and image, and love the way that Piech incorporates so much movement into text and linocut which are otherwise so often static.

  3. Olga, Paul was a very good friend of mine and a great encourager. I love his work, his spirit, the enthusiasm and belief he put into everything he did in life. I'm grateful to have known him and proud that he saw vakue in my own work and wrote about it.

  4. Natalie, It's lovely to hear from you. I have imagined from his work that Piech was a dynamic personality.

  5. Indeed Paul was dynamic but also exceptionally kind, generous and always supportive and helpful to others.
Good to see your work always moving and growing. I hope we get to meet one day! Do let me know when you're in London - perhaps you could come and visit me?
